We have always had an open door policy when it comes to visitors. We have tried to accomodate families pretty much any time of the year. We are now changing our visitor policy. Please do not ask for exceptions to these rules.

We will no longer be open to families visiting without deposits. There are many reasons for below for more information.

We will be having a specific visiting weekend for each litter around 5-6 weeks of age, for those families that have a deposit on a puppy. We will plan that weekend when the puppies are born, and arrange for each family to come in order of deposit received. This is the puppy picking out weekend. If you cannot come that weekend, you will have to pick from photos and information that we send to you. We cannot keep the other families behind you waiting, as it is not fair to them. This weekend is quite important. We do our puppy pick out weekend different than other breeders. Most breeders choose a puppy for you, and you do not have a say. I personally feel that in the end, you are purchasing the puppy so you should definitely have some say in which one you choose. We will absolutely help you in your choice, as we have been with the puppies from day #1, and we know their individual personalities.

Also, when each litter is born, we will be emailing and posting on the site, the litters' 'ready to go home' weekend. Puppies are to be picked up between 8-9 weeks of age. After 9 weeks of age, there is a boarding fee of $20 per day.

Raising puppies and taking care of our own dogs (nevermind having a family as well) takes an incredible amount of time. I do not work out of the home. This is what I do, and what I love to do. If I were to win the lottery tomorrow, I would still have my dogs. Preparing for families to come and visit (sometimes upwards of 7 or 8 families per day on weekends) takes a ton of preparation. Most questions that are asked can be answered on my website, and there are tons of photos on my site so that you can get an idea of what a doodle looks like. I am also available to speak to on the phone. But the continuous flood of visitors is taxing. I am not able to truly focus on the care of my adult dogs and my puppies when my days are broken up between this family and that family.

Another reason is due to bacteria and disease. There are many deadly viruses that can be brought in by people. Parvo is a huge concern. In fairness to the families getting one of the puppies, and for the health of my puppies and dogs, I can no longer accomodate families coming to look and meet a doodle or to see if this breed is right for them. I am not a pet store, nor do my dogs live in a kennel. Therefore my dogs are not on display. If you would like to speak to someone who has been to our house and seen how are dogs and puppies are raised, I am able to provide many references.
